4PeteSake Grant Recipient #4 is Barbara Newton, who was born and raised in Spring Green.  She and her husband, Todd, have two children, Kim who is 5 and Tiffany age 12.  Todd is employed at his family’s Newton’s Citgo Station on Hwy 14 where he does restorations of automobiles.  Barbara provides daycare services out of her home and she has done this, with help from family and friends, throughout her chemotherapy treatments for breast cancer.  Barbara was diagnosed and underwent surgery last October.  Now that her chemotherapy treatments are completed she has begun a six-week series of radiation treatments.  She wishes to thank so many people who have reached out and assisted during this time.  Months after the surgery, cards and food continue to come from friends and neighbors.   * This story is compliments of The Voice of the River Valley.
