Trish Dickinson

Please meet our 2007- 4PeteSake Grant Recipient, Trish Dickinson. Trish and her husband Tom live in the Pinelands area west of Spring Green. She fell in love with this area 30 years ago right after moving to Milwaukee. She bought a cabin and was finally able to move here 6 years ago. Trish can’t imagine living anywhere else, as she loves it here so much. She’s a major supporter of local business and buying locally. When she started feeling better after her cancer treatments she immediately went back to work part-time at Nina’s in downtown Spring Green. You can catch her beautiful smile any Thursday morning when you enter the store.

Trish is a colon cancer patient with a will of iron. 4PeteSake is helping her family pay some of the bills, which piled up while she was ill. She just received a favorable medical report, which makes us all very happy. Insurance shortfalls seem to be plaguing more and more people today.

Trish considers herself to be a grunt worker and supporter of many causes. She works for the Pineland Community Association helping to save the forest. It was her idea to put together a welcome packet for new neighbors, and she is the group’s liaison to the DNR and Sauk County law enforcement. Trish is a loyal fan of the Rural Musicians Forum and can’t wait for the summer concerts to begin. She is a member of the SGAAC, attends their functions, and helps out whenever she is asked.

Trish was a major supporter of APT before the theater even got its name. She met Randal Duk Kim at the Park East Hotel in Milwaukee where he was performing a one-man show. He shared his theater vision with her, and she was hooked. The Milwaukee Friends of APT was formed and began a series of fundraisers to help start the theater. She’s been involved in winter carnivals, chili suppers, summer auctions, and sales of items such as scarves and buttons.
